Johnny and his father, Louie Freeman, opened Freeman's Appliance Repair in 1976 on the south side of Duncan in an old grocery store building. Through the 70's and most of the 80's Johnny and Louie stayed busy mainly with appliance repair and the sales of used appliances. In the late 80's Johnny ventured in to the retail side of the appliance industry when he purchased Black's Maytag. Shortly after the acquistion, we moved into the building in which we currently reside on North Highway 81. In 2000, Johnny and son, Jason, opened J and J Appliance in the building across the parking lot from Freeman's Maytag. We pride ourselves on being locally owned, providing top notch service for our customers, our competitive pricing, and being involved in the schools and communities of the surrounding area. Between our two stores we have the largest selection of home appliances between Oklahoma City and Wichita Falls, TX. We also have a full line of parts and accessories for all major brands and models of appliances.
