Is this product too new?

We purchased our new range on September 1, 2023 from Home Depot. It was delivered on September 11, 2023. We used it once that evening and after that we received an error message and our appliance kept tripping our breaker. We immediately called the support number and how to schedule a technician to come to look at the range. The technician arrived on September 18 And told us that we needed a new computer module which he ordered. The technician arrive today with the computer module and replaced the faulty one. Unfortunately, that module was not the problem and the range still does not work. He informed us that since the model was so new, he had to do some research on what to do to repair it. Needless to say, I am very and happy and also very frustrated. It is now going on the end of September, and I still don™€™t have a working range. I found the Frigidaire/Electrolux hotline only to be told that they needed to contact the technician so he could explain to the master technician what was happening. Only then can a decision be made, whether or not to continue to try to repair the range or replace it . In the meantime, we are out of luck. This has been a very frustrating experience for us. Not sure where to go from here. All of our appliances have been Frigidaire up to this point. I think we will be rethinking our choices from now on.

I had put off purchasing a new stove for a couple of years. Finally had to break down and do it. I had to stay with an electric stove as that is what I currently had and couldn't afford to switch over to gas. I also knew I wanted a convection oven as I do a lot of baking and loved the one I'd had at a previous home. My employer has an induction range top that I really liked. I thought it would be cost prohibitive for me to purchase one, until I started looking at them. I read all the reviews, and the worst thing I found about this stove is that it's easy to hit the knobs on the front (they will make a clicking sound) when you are using the stove top. The funny thing is, my employers Wolf range (they have 2 cooktops) has the same issue!!! This has been a wonderful purchase and I am very happy with the performance of the appliance. I would definitely encourage anyone looking for an affordable stove with induction and convection, to purchase this one.

Awesome induction range. The ability to power boil and it taking no time at all is my favorite feature. The control panel's touch resistance leaves a little to be desired (not super responsive, have to leave your finger there for a bit to activate controls). The being said, it's a great appliance for the money. I do have to caveat that the range needed a warranty repair right off the pallet for the burners under the glass being out of place. However, the warranty experience was easy and the tech fixed the issue in no time.

We purchased this induction range to go in our recently renovated kitchen. We liked the slide-in look vs. freestanding, and we really wanted to upgrade to an induction cooktop. The control on the front is very easy to use, and there are several features that make this oven an improvement over our previous electric range. We are very happy with how quickly the elements heat up and cool down once you shut them off. More energy efficient and safer! The price was affordable compared to other brands, and the quality seems very good so far. Please note that you will need to purchase a separate power cord, as it is not included when purchased from a big box store. We are very happy with our decision!

I went right from an electric coil stove (25 years old) to this induction model and love it! First of all, clean-up is a dream. Water boils in no time and the surface never stays hot for very long, even when the stove is warning about hot surfaces. The oven is huge, but that also means that bottom storage is pretty small (used to store pots and pans in the old stove but now can only fit baking sheets). One issue is the front controls, which are VERY sensitive to being leaned on. I've turned things on a number of times already just reaching over the stove...

This is my first time getting a stove that has the controls in the front. I love the style but I noticed immediately that as I'm cooking and moving around, the slightest touch from my stomach brushing against the panel can change the settings. I also got the model that doesn't have "fingerprint resistant" and I sorta wish I spent the extra money on that because I'm very aware of every visible smudge. With that said, I'm still happy and would recommend to my friends and family.

I don't normally like to review things until I've had a chance to really put them through their paces. My wife and I cook on average two meals a day on the stove 6 days a week. I feel confident that both her and I are very comfortable with it and are in a position to leave a review. It is an absolutely beautiful stove I love the clean look to it. There are no knobs or anything above the cooking surface which makes the whole thing just look so beautiful in our kitchen. The induction cooktop took a little getting used to and I mean very little to get used to. Pots and pans ramp up in heat so quickly still every time we use it we're amazed. Saying that the key to induction is going to be your cookware you must get cookware that is a good quality and has a magnetic base the more solid the magnetic base the better the performance. We have noticed cooking in our kitchen has become a cooler event there is far less heat being put off into the kitchen with induction. As far as the oven portion we have only used the convection twice and it works perfectly although one thing to note is the fan that kicks on when you're using it that's an odd situation if you're not used to it it actively blows air out of the top near the cooking surface. All in all I would say you can't go wrong with this stove

I have always hated electric ranges specifically the erratic burners, but this old dog has learned a few new tricks. The induction burners are totally controllable, great for simmering and reductions as well as fast boiling, I am impressed. The convection oven has performed well with brownies and bread. I was originally waiting for the induction range with Total Convection to come out, but when when this range went on sale for the 4th of July I decided to purchase it instead and I am very glad I did. It is a very good range for an excellent price, but like most things it does have a few areas for improvement.Positives:1. The range top is excellent. Water boils incredibly quickly, and when you change the temperature setting the response is almost instantaneous.2. I have had the range for about a month, and so far the stove top is as clean as the day I bought it, which is a big difference from standard electric smooth top ranges.3. The oven is large and the oven controls are very logical. I tried the convection and it works fine for me.4. I was originally worried about having only one large burner, but I have found that the small burners work well even for pots that are larger than the burner is. I have also found the bridge element to be useful for making gravy (I just put the roasting pan on top of the bridge element).5. The digital temperature controls for the range top allow precise control.6. I love the fact that I can leave my dog in the house and not have to worry about him burning down my house by turning on the stove top.7. The manual is very well written, and the installation instructions are clear and mercifully concise.8. The stove top seems to be a lot less fragile than the top of other smooth top ranges (I managed to crack the top of my previous range twice during the 16 years I owned it by having relatively lightweight items fall onto it)Mixed bag:1. I discovered that the fairly high end stainless steel Cuisinart pots and pans I got in the late 90s when I moved into my first apartment are not induction compatible. However, the purchase of the range spurred me to buy new enameled cast iron pots and pans, which are a huge upgrade over the stainless ones. I also dusted off the cast iron skillets I inherited from my grandparents and they work very well after some practice. 2. The timer works well, but setting the timer works slightly differently than the way the instructions in the manual say it does.3. The range did not come with a power cord like I thought it would based on reviews. Be sure to save the cord from your old range!Not so good:1. The major electronics retailer I purchased the range from did not install the range (they just delivered it). Installing the range required the use of a screwdriver with a special head (which I luckily had, but the average person would not have it) and a piece of hardware from keeping the cord from pulling out. Getting the piece of hardware for keeping the cord from pulling out required visiting two different hardware stores, and it took the store associate and the second store about 30 minutes to find the right $1.50 part. I hope Frigidaire will consider bundling this piece of hardware with the stove in the future or (even better) redesigning the part of the stove where the cord goes through, and consider including the screwdriver you need for installation.2. It seems that whenever you lean over the stove you inadvertently press a button leading to a lot of beeping, and this sometimes turns off the burner. 3. The storage door is made of very thin metal and is quite lightweight. I am not sure how well it will last over the long term.4. Having to turn on the range top, turn on the burner, and then set the temperature seems overly complicated. It would be great if in future models this three step procedure could be simplified. 5. A minor point, but it took several weeks after I registered the stove to be e-mailed information about the extended warranty availability, and I nearly missed the e-mail. It would have been helpful to have gotten this information immediately after registering and for it to appear on the registration website.

I am so happy with the induction cook top. It takes a little learning and changes in food preparation as it works very fast. It's a good idea to have everything prepped before you start. No more time to chop while waiting for warm up. The instant boil is great. The touch activation on the front takes some getting used to as it doesn't respond right away. This is probably a good thing to prevent it from activating unintentionally. I haven't used the convection yet, but have had it before and expect it to be great.

I love my new Frigidaire induction/convection freestanding range! Here in Arizona, during the hottest summer on record, it is a pleasure to cook on the cooktop which never heats up the kitchen and competes with the AC. Only the food gets hot, and quickly. The oven is also amazing! My corn pudding browns perfectly on top and stays moist and creamy on the inside. Cleaning up is a dream. Just a quick wipe with a damp sponge and done. Have never had induction, but love it so far. Water boils almost instantly! Oven works as expected. Only downside: stainless finish is not smudge-proof, which I knew going in. But it really smudges easily and is difficult to clean. However, it doesn't bother me enough to not recommend this range.

First time induction stove owner

I love my new range. I can boil a small pot of water in 1 minute or less on the power boil level. I love how quickly and efficiently it cooks, it out performs a typical electric stove any day. The oven does great as well, have not tried the convection function with baked goods yet.

We love our new induction range. Our electric cooktop cracked on our old stove, and was so happy to find this one. I love that Frigidaire has an induction range in a reasonable price range. We love it so far - the response time when changing temperatures is amazing, and the power boil setting is so fast.

We absolutely love our new induction range! Everything is faster, from boiling water to convection frying chicken. The functions are great and we have surprised many dinner guest by its speed, finish and how professional it looks. If you are a gas using in your kitchen, you will be shocked how mush faster the stovetop interacts with heat control commands and how dialed in you can get the temperature. Well done Electrolux/Frigidaire!

I have been using this daily for a month now and I absolutely love it! I have had a LG induction range in the past and I like this one much better. The only option I miss is the proofing setting as I make sourdough. But the LG model had quite a few quirks with the stovetop that made it a pain to use and even had to have an element replaced within the warranty period. I can tell right away that this range is much easier to use on the stovetop. I really like the bridge feature as I like to use a cast iron grill to make pancakes on the griddle side and grilled food on the grill side and it works great for that. The oven is very even in baking and roasting, etc. Very happy with my purchase.

This Frigidaire range is a terrific value for its price. Most induction stoves and ranges have been 2X and 3X as expensive as this. I have been cooking with induction for nearly 10 years using countertop induction cookers, ignoring our old coil burner electric range.This induction range with convection oven was delivered about 2 weeks ago and these are my observations:It is quiet; my countertop units all have fans which run continuously. While not loud, they were certainly annoying. When I turn this one on there is no fan noise at all initially. Eventually a fan underneath the top will come on, but you would have to be paying close attention to notice it.There is no cooking timer, probably because this is aimed at entry level purchasers like me. Every countertop unit I have owned has a timer for cooking; if I was steaming vegetables I could set a timer on the unit and forget about it until it beeps and shuts off. With this I have to set a timer separately and turn the item off manually, so I will miss that feature.I have read where some people have indicated they would prefer to have knobs to control the surface burners, but since all of the countertop units I have used have touch controls, I am well accustomed to using them and now I prefer them.Since the controls are on the front (where they should be on a stove) and there is no backsplash, you may have to buy or otherwise install something to protect your wall. I opted for the 30" stainless steel backsplash sold as a separate item.I have used the convection oven only once, to bake an apple pie. The apples were not entirely cooked when the crust was done, so I will have to adjust my time and temperature for baking. I am sure I can figure that out.Like all the induction cookers I have used, this is an extremely easy stovetop to clean, with none of the scorching and discoloration that I have noticed on every conventional glass top stove I have seen.Also like all induction cookers, it cooks fast and responds very quickly to your adjustments in temperature.Overall, I highly recommend this item.

Sensitive front control panel constantly turns off when lightly brushing against it. Convection oven only came with two racks. The point of convection is to be able to cook on multiple racks (three is standard in other ovens). When setting timer for oven cooking, oven shuts off when timer is done. I do not like this oven at all and would not choose it again.

Learning curve, but an excellent product!

So far, I've loved my new induction range & convection bake unit! The induction heat is INCREDIBLY fast, though I will say takes some adjustment in cooking habits (including learning I needed induction-specific cookware!). The front control panel is the biggest learning curve, and the reason for my 4-star rating. It took some time to figure out that the controls require a 1-2 second hold to respond (not specified in the instructions), and having the control panel on the front has so far been slightly annoying as I'm constantly leaning on my appliance while cooking. However, otherwise, this unit has been an incredible upgrade from my basic electric oven/range unit and I am beyond thrilled.
